The Empire Area Food Pantry is operated by an ecumenical group of Southwest Leelanau County Churches who collect food and money to feed the hungry and support the needy in Southwest Leelanau County and Northwest Benzie County.
The Pantry is located in the Glen Lake Community Reform Church. Requests may be made in person on Thursdays from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm at the Church at 4902 W. McFarlane Rd., Glen Arbor MI 49636.
(Note: The pantry hours will be changed to TUESDAYS, instead of Thursdays, beginning June 29, 2010).
Contributions of non-perishable food and funds are always welcome. Checks for contributions should be made payable to the Empire Area Food Pantry and mailed co/ Empire United Methodist Church, 10050 Michigan, PO Box 261, Empire MI 49630-0261 ATTN: Dick Daniels. Telephone number - 231-326-5510.
