The Leelanau County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority (LCBRA) has administered four (4) different U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grants, on behalf of Leelanau County.  The LCBRA has completed a $200,000 EPA site assessment grant for hazardous substances, a $200,000 EPA site assessment grant for petroleum substances, a $400,000 EPA site assessment grant, and a $1,000,000 Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) awarded by the U.S. EPA.   

The following projects have approved Brownfield Plans and/or MDEQ grant/loan assistance:

  • Former Government Site (Leland Township)
  • GTOS site (Cherry Bend Rd. - Elmwood Twn)
  • West Shore Partners, LLC (Elmwood Township)
  • Two Peas, LLC (Village of Suttons Bay)

The following property involved the use of EPA Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) dollars in order to clean up the site and prepare it for redevelopment:

  • Former Government Site (Leland Township)
