Leelanau County Geographic Information Systems

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) bring together spatial and tabular data in order create maps and conduct analysis.

If you have ever used such popular applications as Google Earth, Map Quest or Apple Maps, then you've used a simple GIS.

In Leelanau County, our GIS is used to map property boundaries, create township map books, provide route guidance information to first responders and to conduct a wide variety of analyses in support of the Equalization Department.

The Leelanau County Equalization Department also provides assessment information on the web via our parcel viewer. Search by Owner Name, Location Address, Parcel Number and Jurisdiction. Find location on an aerial image. Do a 300 foot radial search. Property owners, real estate professionals, appraisers and title companies can obtain this information free of charge.
